CML Patients: HSP vaccine found active in Gleevec refractory patients.

When administered together with Gleevec a heat shock protein. (HSP) vaccine was found to produce useful responses in patients who were refractory to Gleevec alone. A phase II trial in currently under way and is being conducted by Dr. Brain Druker of the Oregon Health and Science University Cancer Institute.
