Anabolic Steroids useful in treating cancer wasting syndromes.

Oxandrolene is an oral anabolic steroid. In a recent study it was given to 131 patients with cancer wasting. At 4 months leon tissue weight increased by an average of 7.5%. [P] These results should be considered very positive. Further studies are under way.
