Prostate Cancer: Rethinking Testosterone Replacement
Testosterone replacement has traditionally been contraindicated in patients with prostate cancer. This topic was recently discussed at the 98th annual meeting of the American Urological Association. [P]
Studies were presented where replacement of testosterone, in patients with histories of prostate cancer, did not increase PSA levels. [P]
Most of these studies are ongoing and we will be monitoring them closely.
