Velcade is Approved by FDA for Relapsed and Refractory Myeloma Link t

The MMRF is pleased to accounce that Velcade (bortezmib, formerly known as PS-341) for injection has been approved by the FDA to treat patients whose disease has relapsed after two prior treatments and who have demonstrated resistance to their last treament. It is the first drug to receive approval to treat myeloma in more than a decade, and the MMRF is proud to have partnered with Millennium to accelerate the development and availability of the drug.
