Multiple Myeloma: Double transplant doubles survival. Link to causing

Multiple Myeloma has classically been incurable and inevitably fatal. It responds well to chemotherapy initially then refractory relapses occur.

Stem Cell Transplants has changed the picture long term survival and maybe cures have been reported in about 10% of cases. When the transplant is done twice long term survival increases to 20%. We look forward to reporting even improving results.
