Low Platelet Counts improved with new Agent

From the Lancet 202: 359: 2145-52, comes a paper on recombinant human thrombopoitin. Long a problem in Cancer treatment, decreased platelets often follow and limit chemotherapy. This new agent which enhances platelet production allowing increased collection for later infusion shows promise.
