Breast Cancer Update _ ARIMEDEX Approved by FDA for early Breast Cance

The FDA has just approved ARIMEDEX for the treatment of hormone receptor positive women with early breast cancer. This agent can now be used as an Adjuvant drug to prevent recurrence of breast cancer following surgery. Compared to an older drug, tamoxifen, it did 22% better in reducing the risk of recurrent disease.
