Prostate Cancer: Vaccine Slows Progression of Advanced Disease States

Treatment for advanced prostate cancer is unsatisfactory once the disease becomes resistant to hormonal therapy. Dendreon, a Seattle based company, is testing Provenge, a vaccine in advanced prostate cancer patients. So far the results look promising. A significant number of patients had stabilization of their disease for significant time periods. We look forward to reporting more good results from this promising new form of therapy for cancer.
